Forest schools summer 1

Lesson: Literacy

Class: Year 2 Year: 2024 - 2025

This morning, Year 2 linked their forest schools to their next English theme of The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch. 
We made seagulls and used our whittling sticks to hold the string to make the wings move.

We made a raft by tying 5 pieces of wood together using our granny knots and lashings. We then tested the rafts to see if they could sail.

Finally we made our own sundials as we are going to be learning how to tell the time next half term. 

We also had loads of fun in the mud kitchen and digging for treasure.
